Snake bites woman’s private part in the Volta region According to reports, the woman was defecating in her husband’s farm when the attack occurred A 44-year-old woman has been bitten to death by a snake at Dambai in the Krachi East District of the Volta Region. The woman, Eyii Akuvi, died upon arrival in the home of a fetish priest. According to reports, Mrs Akuvi was easing herself in her husband’s farm when the sudden attack occurred. She is said to have screamed out in pain, drawing the attention of her husband, Aziagome Akuvi, who had been waiting for her by the roadside. Aziagome suspected the snake bite could be spiritual and thus, put his wife on a bicycle and rushed her to a fetish priest for spiritual and herbal treatment. Former minister makes Yvonne Nelson weep

  The final edition of the annual Girl Talk concert for songstress Jane Awindor popularly known as Efya had many surprises when it happened on December 27 at the National Theater. The past events have always had surprising moments but this year’s put patrons into a lot of frenzy moments. Many ladies including celebrities who attended the bow out edition for Efya were honoured for their good works. One of the few Ghanaian female entertainers who was regarded with great respect at the show was actress cum movie producer Yvonne Nelson. Halfway through the show, Efya called on former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie to perform a duty.
