Liverpool warned ahead of summer move for PSG star

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has fired a warning to Liverpool ahead of any potential summer move for PSG midfielder Javier Pastore.
The Serie A giants had tried to sign the Argentine last month, however were put off by PSG’s demands for the former Palermo star.
Pastore has made only eight starts this season for the League 1 leaders, and with his contract expiring in the summer of 2019, he is likely to be on the look-out for a move at the end of the campaign in search of more regular first team football.
Ausilio however has warned any potential suitors – including Liverpool and Tottenham – after revealing Inter’s recent move for the midfielder stalled over PSG’s excessive demands.
“The conditions weren’t there – they never were – and there were never any negotiations,” Ausilio told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “With this, I am not doubting the quality of the player, but as soon as our request of a loan did not meet the expectations of PSG, it was clear that there was no basis for negotiations, and I’d said this in recent days already.

Tottenham – who were also interested in Pastore – instead moved for his team-mate Lucas Moura, who they signed on deadline day for £25 million.
“We’ve done all we could –we’ve brought in a central defender to complete that area of our squad and we’ve signed an outstanding midfielder who is going to be useful to the cause.
We favoured the departure of certain players [Joao Mario and Yuto Nagatomo left on loan] who lightened our wage burden and brought in some money.”
Both Liverpool and Tottenham were also understood to make approaches for Pastore this month, offering loans with a view to permanent transfers totalling between €25million-€40million in the summer, but were turned down by PSG.

4,000 Graduate To Be Employed Through YEA

Four thousand unemployed graduates who have been sitting at home for the past two years can now heave a sigh of relief following an arrangement to absorb them through the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for deployment to the various metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs). Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in Accra yesterday between the YEA and the Local Government Service, the graduates would be employed by the agency for the Local Government Service to deploy them to the MMDAs across the country. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the YEA, Mr Justin Kodua Frimpong, signed on behalf of the YEA while Dr Nana Ato Arthur, the Head of the Local Government Services, initialled on behalf of the organisation.
