Only Hypocrite's Will Condemn Ayisi Boateng

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has put up a spirited defense for Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa George Ayisi Boateng for stating that NPP members are his priority
According to Bernard Antwi Boasiako, those blaming him for making such comments are just hypocrites and liars.
“I support Ayisi Boateng and will support him anytime. I know that man and I believe that he has every Ghanaian at heart but if he says he will put NPP members ahead for job opportunities I don’t see anything wrong with that because he loves them” he said on Accra based Neat FM.
Mr. George Ayisi Boateng, is alleged to have said that, he prioritizes members of the NPP and its student wing, the Tertiary Students’ Confederacy Network (TESCON) in his dealings in South Africa.
The report said the High Commissioner made these comments when he addressed some TESCON members in Kumasi over the weekend, to usher in fresh students of Kumasi Technical University into the network.
While urging other government appointees to follow suit and ensure party members are satisfied before other citizens, he said, “this government is doing its best to create job opportunities and me for instance, I told my people over there [that], it is because of NPP that I’m here, so the NPP man is my priority. I told them when NDC was in power it was Kwesi Ahwoi who was there, now we are in power, so Ayisi-Boateng is here with you. My topmost priority is the problems of an NPP person before any other Ghanaian, take it or leave it.”
But Chairman Wontumi as he is affectionately called said there is nothing wrong with championing the cause of NPP members for helping the party win power in 2016 elections.
He believes Mr. Ayisi Boateng’s statement was only to encourage the students never to give up for voting for the NPP.
“I think Ayisi is only encouraging the students not to give up in life after voting massively for the NPP. His saying is the same as Jesus Christ telling his disciples never to give up because he will never leave them and so those criticizing him should stop because he has not erred” he stressed.

Is GTV Still A Channel? —Afia Schwarzenegger Ask

Following the proposed sale of the Electricity Company of Ghana, the debate on whether the issue of selling government institutions to the private sector will somehow increase efficiency in their services is still ongoing. Some citizens have called for the subsequent sale of other institutions in the hopes that it will probably shift to more adequate working systems. One of such people is TV host and comedian, Afia Schwarzenegger. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Afia Schwarzenegger called for the sale of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC). According to Afia, the corporation’s main television channel, Ghana Television (GTV), cannot be really considered a TV channel, thus it would be more prudent if it is sold. Afia Schwarzenegger has had quite the successful media career, spanning over five years. She has worked with Kasapa FM, Okay FM, and hosted the ‘Kokooko’ program on UTV channel, a subsidiary of the Despite Group of Companies
